At North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service (NACAS), people come to us with all sorts of issues. We see it as our responsibility not only to advise clients but to use what we know about their experiences to shape policy both locally and nationally.
Throughout this month (February 2016), NACAS will be conducting a study to get an insight into the life of those living in rural areas compared to those living in urban areas. This is a great opportunity to get a better understanding of the differences in for example, petrol/diesel prices, transport availability, utilities, food etc.
The study will involve residents completing a short questionnaire covering various aspects of the costs of living as well as observing differences in prices for a pre-determined grocery list.
In order to help reach the Islands and more rural areas and to be identifiable, NACAS are will be back on the road and partnering with Working on Wheels and using a converted bus as a mobile bureau where people can attend and complete a questionnaire – in total confidence. The bus will have North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service emblazoned all over it, so as not to be missed.
