Better Off North Ayrshire is funded jointly by the European Social Fund and Big Lottery Fund Scotland with £3m awarded for a three year period to 2020. It is a collaboration between the North Ayrshire Council and a range of third sector delivery partners with a focus on improving the financial circumstances of people out of work or on low incomes.

We are delivering this service in the Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Garnock Valley and Largs areas for those who meet the eligibility criteria for the Project.

If you are a Lone Parent, Unemployed or on a Low Income we can assist with the following services:

  • Help managing your Debts
  • Fuel Poverty
  • Accessing affordable credit
  • Lack of basic banking services
  • Money management skills
  • Accessing affordable products
  • Improving IT/ digital skills needed to manage money online

 

What’s involved?

Registration, Assessment, Action Planning

Each client will go through a registration, assessment and action planning process. This will be tailored to the individual and be responsive to individual need. Financial action plans will be agreed with the individual and realistic timescales set to achieve action plan objectives.

Financial Action Planning Based on individual action plans the following core modules of support will be available: money management, budgeting skills, household budgeting, debt management, debt response, affordable credit, affordable products, savings advice, bank accounts and Credit Union membership.

We will get back to you within 48 hours to make an early appointment with an advisor in your local area.
